Marcel graduated from NUS in 2023 with a BA (Hons) in English Literature. His research interests revolve around 20th-century British poetry, post-humanism, and world literature. Passionate about linguistics and classical music, he is particularly interested in music-making as metaphor for the generative resistances of language; to that end, he wrote his thesis on the ethics and value of resistance in Geoffrey Hill’s poetry. Marcel loves reading sf/f, going on runs at odd hours, and frequently contemplates picking up yet another musical instrument. He is currently a language research executive at the School of Humanities and Behavioural Sciences whilst he figures out where to do his postgraduate studies.
