Riv is a poet, artist, and final-year Literature major. His creative and academic pursuits are dedicated to trans monstrosity, transmasculine gender deviance, as well as centring the marginal in the horror genre. With heavy influences from body horror and the euphoria of his gender transition, his work tends toward the visceral, probing (in)human bodies for their potential as sites of transcendence. In his free time he plays horror RPGs for the “plot” and falls in love with most things grotesque. Frankenstein’s Creature is his ultimate transition goal, and he thinks he might be almost there.
